Healthy Gums

Your regular hygiene visit

Healthy Gums

Your gum health is important in ensuring that your teeth remain healthy. Just like houses need solid foundations, such is the purpose of gums in relation to your teeth.

Scientific studies have even shown that gum health is related to your general health, heart disease and poorly controlled diabetes have also been associated with poor gum health and vice versa.

At your healthy gums visit, we provide you with more information on how to maintain healthy teeth and gums. It’s your regular visit to remove hidden and difficult to reach plaque and hardened plaque (tartar). This regular visit will prevent gum disease, tooth decay and bleeding gums, leaving you with a healthier, brighter, and fresher mouth by removing bad mouth bacteria, and removing surface stains.

Should you already suffer from gum disease or bleeding gums, you may need a more focused or specialist course of treatment.

We will discuss your healthcare including gum health needs with you during your oral health check and provide you with a gum treatment that is tailored to your needs, whether that be a simple scale and polish or treatment to manage gum disease.
